Q: Do your probiotics need to ship cold and be stored cold?

A: In short, no. Check out the video below for more details.

Q: I’m afraid to try the pobiotic you sell and recommend bc of the INULIN. Is this as high in INULIN as eating garlic and onions? Or is it tolerated by some who don’t do well with this FODMAP group.

A: Great question – this comes up occasionally and is often misrepresented by companies trying to sell certain supplements. The amount of inulin in probiotics isn’t always significant. Ours has 450mg, which is an extremely low amount and the chance of reaction to this is very low. This is the probiotic he uses in his practice with patients, and he almost always sees good tolerance of it. Regarding the FODMAP component, If the probiotic sits well with someone’s microbiota, it may actually help improve their sensitivity to that category of FODMAPs and improve their symptoms. If you’re still concerned, you may want to make it the last probiotic you incorporate into the experiment so you can then isolate where the reaction (if there is one) is coming from.
