The aim of this study was to investigate the role of zonulin in patients with IBD and the correlation between serum and fecal zonulin. The findings suggest that “serum zonulin is highly sensitive for the evaluation of intestinal permeability in IBD patients” and there is no correlation between zonulin values in serum and feces.
This meta-analysis concluded that TSO therapy, which has recently attracted a lot of attention, showed no statistical benefit for IBD patients.
According to this systematic review and meta analysis, the use of thyroid hormone therapy was not associated with improvements in quality of life in adults with subclinical hypothyroidism.
