A study found a high prevalence of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection in cases of Hashimoto’s and Graves’ diseases, which implies a potential aetiological (underlying) role of EBV in autoimmune thyroiditis.

Study indicated that abdominal massage applied to patients with postoperative constipation reduced symptoms of constipation, decreased intervals between defecation, and increased quality of life.

The present study suggested that CoQ10 supplement at a dosage of 100 mg could be effective for improving the systemic inflammation and biochemical variables in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).

Study found probiotic supplementation can reduce the antibiotic-induced alteration and imbalance of the gut microbiota composition. This effect may restrict the growth of antibiotic-resistant bacteria in the gut and improve the H. pylori eradication success rate.

This study found that consuming 30 grams of high-amylose maize resistant starch type 2 (HAM-RS2) daily for 6 weeks can improve glucose homeostasis, lower leptin concentrations, and increase fasting PYY in healthy overweight adults without impacting body composition and may aid in the prevention of chronic disease.
