The findings in this study highlight the importance of enteroendocrine cells in IBS pathophysiology and the mechanism behind the positive effect of the low FODMAP diet in improving IBS symptoms and its usage as a first step in the line of IBS management.


Although gene-based “Personal Nutrition” targeted to APOE was more effective in reducing Saturated Fatty Acid intake than standard dietary advice, this study shows, there was no difference between APOE “risk” and “nonrisk” groups.


This study suggests that in the absence of gastric issues, malabsorption and drug interference, liquid L-T4 is more effective than tablets in controlling TSH levels in hypothyroid patients.
