This study found that selenium supplementation could restore euthyroidism in one-third of subclinical hypothyroidism patients with autoimmune thyroiditis.


A systematic review and meta-analysis revealed that resistant starch can have a beneficial effect on the function of the large bowel in healthy adults. There was a significant increase in fecal wet weight and butyrate concentration and a significant reduction in fecal PH. There was no statistically significant increase in the frequency of defecation.
