Previous studies have implied that euthyroid Hashimoto’s thyroiditis (HT) might be related to impaired HRQoL, depression, and anxiety. The results of this study indicate that…

“thyroid autoimmunity itself may have an impact on psychological well-being in euthyroid patients with HT.”

This study found that selenium supplementation could restore euthyroidism in one-third of subclinical hypothyroidism patients with autoimmune thyroiditis.

A systematic review and meta-analysis revealed that resistant starch can have a beneficial effect on the function of the large bowel in healthy adults. There was a significant increase in fecal wet weight and butyrate concentration and a significant reduction in fecal PH. There was no statistically significant increase in the frequency of defecation.
